DIY Animal Gift Wrap

DIY Animal Gift Wrap

DIY animal gift wrap

Along with some instant gift wrap you can print and use, I also have a few DIY gift wrap ideas without even having to print!
This one is super simple and kids will love it. I thought those triangle flaps you end up with on each end of wrapped gifts just looked liked animal noses waiting to be smudged on with a little black paint, bringing it all to life.
That’s all there is for this DIY animal gift wrap. It hardly needs a tutorial. Browse the images for reference and make your own versions!

Polar bears if you use white paper, brown bears if you use brown paper!

These are good for making various animal combinations if you have different sized gifts.

Wrap the box with plain paper with the standard gift wrapping method, finishing with the triangle flap folds over the side. Trim the end of the triangles if they’re too long or too pointy (unless you want a pointy nosed fox or mouse!). Fix the flap part with glue or double-sided tape hidden underneath rather than covering up the outside with tape.
Paint some black at the end of the triangle (actually a pyramid) flap to make your animal noses. Create your favorite animal faces. Draw and cut 4 legs and glue under the box as in the photo. You can play around with their pose.
I wanted to make them looking lazy and just lying around belly up!

There are some variations you can try for the birds. Fold the ends so you get two triangle flaps, one on each side.
If you leave the flaps standing up, you have owl ears, or you can fold them over to the sides to make little wings.

They actually make perfect toys and are great fun to play with so you may not even want to open your presents! ; )

Create a fun menagerie with your gifts for an exciting presentation for kids.

You can stack them up like a totem.

They will also make cute stacking storage boxes of different sizes.
